Tampa restaurant named one of America’s most romantic by OpenTable

by Andrew Harlan

Tampa’s iconic Bern’s Steak House (1208 S Howard Ave) earned a coveted spot on OpenTable’s list of America’s top 100 romantic restaurants. Since its inception in 1956, Bern’s has been a beacon in the culinary and wine world.

The annual list is based on diner reviews and key metrics, with OpenTable considering everything from ambiance to the quality of food and service. It’s no surprise that Bern’s made the cut. Known for its perfectly aged steaks, locally sourced vegetables, and an unparalleled wine list that boasts one of the largest collections in the world, Bern’s has long been the gold standard for fine dining in Tampa. And let’s not forget the internationally renowned dessert room, which continues to captivate visitors with its indulgent and imaginative sweet offerings. Dreaming of the baked Alaska right now.

Bern’s Steak House is a Tampa legend

Guests are treated to prime steaks cut to order and a menu featuring 20 types of caviar. The restaurant sources ingredients from local farms whenever possible, ensuring a fresh and flavorful meal every time.

What makes Bern’s truly special, though, is its atmosphere. Its candlelit dining rooms and intimate vibe make it the perfect place for a romantic evening out.

The Black Pearl in Dunedin also earned a spot on OpenTable’s list.
